Exploring Our Faith

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF EXPLORING OUR FAITH?

The Exploring Our Faith program has two objectives:

  1. To explain the principles of Christianity and the teachings of the Catholic Church to those seeking to know more.
  2. To assist those who wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.

WHAT DO TEAM MEMBERS DO?

Members act as leaders (helping to arrange sessions), catechists (helping to explain Scripture or Church Teachings) and/or sponsors (providing one-on-one support for a given candidate). The sessions are relaxed, interactive and informative while encouraging the adoption of a Christian life style.

ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

  • Friendly, welcoming and willing to share their faith journey in a non-judgemental way consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Catechists are provided with source material to assist in presenting specific explanations.

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:16020
