Liturgy Committee

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE LITURGY COMMITTEE?

Offer advice and assistance to the Pastor on pastoral issues to enable our parish community to fulfill its mission statement . . . "The people of God of St. Francis of Assisi Parish envision a community of welcoming and hospitality that, through service, education and liturgical celebrations will empower our parish family and neighbours"

WHAT DO MEMBERS DO?

Through prayer, study, reflection, planning and reviewing, we work to build the parish as a living Christian community by supporting the goals of our parish, representing the views and opinions of parishioners and supplying advice on issues pertaining to the future of our parish.

ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

  • Willing to learn and be open to change
  • Value and support teamwork
  • Be there for the well-being of all members of the church
  • Keep prayer at the centre of all activities

Members of the Liturgy Committee are representatives of the other ministries in the parish

What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation.
Let all things be done for building up.
